Jetshen Dohna Lama coming to Nepal for charity concert
By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Sept. 11: Jetshen Dohna Lama, the winner of the popular Indian television reality show ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs’, is gearing up for a charitable concert at the Godavari Sunrise Convention Hall, Lalitpur.
Arranged by Sadhana Kala Kendra, the charity event, titled ‘Jetshen Dohna Lama Live Concert in Nepal’ is scheduled to be held on September 23.
During a press briefing held in the capital on Sunday, Milan Moktan, the head of Sadhana Kala Kendra, shared the concert’s objectives.
The initiative is to aid the Children’s Handicapped Support Organisation based in Kapan, Kathmandu, said Moktan.
“Our findings highlighted the transportation struggles of these specially-abled children affiliated with the Center For Disabled Children Assistance (CDCA). They faced difficulties commuting to school, especially those reliant on wheelchairs. A portion of the proceeds from the concert aims to procure a vehicle for their convenience, said Moktan.
The concert promises a rich ensemble of talents. Milan confirmed that alongside Jetshan, 10 local musicians will be performing from Nepal.
The song list includes 12 Hindi tracks and several Nepali hits produced by OSR Digital.
Moreover, the event will also feature performances by differently-abled Nepali children.
Dendi Chawa Sherpa, founder president of the CDCA, expressed gratitude, highlighting the significance of such a musical event in support of their cause.
The organisers revealed that Jetshan will be arriving in Nepal on September 17.
