Socialist Front including Biplab being announced today

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, June 19: Four left parties have decided to form a socialist front, Nepal prioritising the establishment of socialism as envisaged by the constitution.

A meeting of the Nepal Communist Party (Maoist Centre), CPN (Unified Socialist), Janata Samajwadi Party-Nepal and Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN held on Sunday decided to from the front.

The meeting reached an agreement to announce the front on Monday in the Capital.The front would be announced by holding a programme.

After the meeting, Janata Samajwadi Party-Nepal leader Rajendra Shrestha informed that the meeting discussed the socialist front and its minimum programme and sought consensus on it.

Initiative has been taken for long to form the socialist front. Mainly CPN (Maoist Centre) vice-chairman Krishna Bahadur Mahara had done homework for the formation of the front.

In the meeting on Sunday, Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Centre) chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, CPN (Unified Socialist) chair Madhav Kumar Nepal, Janata Samajwadi Party-Nepal chair Upendra Yadav and CPN chair Netra Bikram Chand were present.

The Front is likely to announce its minimum programme on Monday.

Leader Dr. Babu Ram Bhattarai-led Samajwadi Party Nepal is likely to join the front as Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Centre) chair Prachanda and Bhattarai have already agreed to form such a front.The Rising Nepal
