With the aim of encouraging farmers, CPN (Maoist Center) Mechinagar distributed spades to 125 farmers on the occasion of National Paddy Day, said Rajan Chimaria, chairman of the town.
Tank Prasad Sivakoti of Mechinagar 14 reached the paddy planting site and started distributing spades.
The Maoist Center has conducted this program at a time when the local government ward office and municipality have been neglecting the distribution of much-needed hand tools to the farmers while allocating the budget.
Chairman of Maoist Center Mechinagar, Rajan Chimaria said that farmers have also increased migration when the government neglects the farmers.
President Rajan Chimaria has distributed this farwa worth about 43 thousand to 125 farmers in 3 stages on Saturday. By the hand of Khemnath Bhandari of Mechinagar-14, an old farmer from Mechinagar-14, real farmers were selected from each ward and distributed 5 to 7 plots per ward.
