On the initiative of MP Sharma, two roads of Mechinagar are being paved

Mechinagar. With the help of the World Bank, 14 kilometers of black paper road will be constructed on Sahidmarg and Suryodaya Marg in Mechinagar under the ‘Urban Government Reform and Infrastructure Project’. Member of the House of Representatives Vishwa Prakash Sharma said that the construction of the road, which will help in the development of two important urban areas of the city, Dhulabari and Kakadvitta, will be invested in a loan of one billion three crores from the World Bank.

The Government of Nepal has already decided to conduct ‘Urban Governance Reform and Infrastructure Project’ at 33 local levels in seven provinces. In this project, there was an agreement that the World Bank would provide a concessional loan of one billion 500 million US dollars to the government of Nepal.
Nepali Congress General Minister and Member of the House of Representatives of Jhapa Constituency No. 1 Sharma informed that the World Bank has provided a loan of 7.8 million US dollars and 9 rupees more than 1 billion dollars to pave two roads in Mechinagar of Jhapa Constituency No. 1 under the said project. According to Sharma, a 5.3 km black sheet will be constructed under Shahidmarg from Dhulabari mode through the market area to the Thoplebiran Community Forest office in Khuttidangi. He said that the width of the road will be 12 meters, drain and double lane.

Similarly, under the Suryodaya Marg, starting from Bhattarai Chowk at Kakdavitta in Purvinaka and ending with Bahundangi Bazar, the road will be 8.5 km long with black paper, double lane and 11 meters wide, Sharma informed. Those roads will be built under the decision of the federal government and the leadership of the local level. In the agreement with the World Bank, it is mentioned that the construction of both those roads should be completed by 31st June 2082.
