Tourism entrepreneurs return from Takchi

Humla, Sept. 24:The tourism entrepreneurs who had been living in Takchi to manage accommodation for visiting tourists have returned.According to hotelier Bijay Lama, 17 entrepreneurs who had been staying at Takchi for the past month to manage the large number of pilgrims who visited this year have returned. He informed that 1,175 people came to the area en route to Lapcha to view Mansarovar. These visitors also included Indian spiritual Guru Sadhguru (Jaggi Vasudev).

The tourists that came this year came from 19 countries including India, Belgium, the USA and Germany.

The entrepreneurs had made arrangements for tourists to stay at Simkot, Lekdhinga and Takchi. However, it proved too difficult to manage accommodations at Lekdhinga so they were put up at Raniban in Takchi.

Paljor Tamang, chairman of Namkha Rural Municipality Ward No. 6, said that Sadhguru, who came to Lapcha this year and the last year, had helped promote the region internationally.
