CM TAKES STOCK OF HEALTHCARE FACILITIES IN DISTRICTS UP TO PHSC LEVEL

GANGTOK: Chief Minister P.S. Golay today interacted with Chief Medical Officers (CMOs) and District Medical Superintendents (DMS) of all the four districts through video conferencing here at Samman Bhawan.
“During the conference, I took stock of Health care facilities status and preparedness about COVID-19 in all districts from District Hospitals to the level of PHSC. I enquired about the basic facilities including medical supplies, Personal Protective Equipments (PPE) and manpower status of various Primary Health Centres (PHCs), PHSCs, CHCs and District Hospitals,” posted the Chief Minister in his social media page.
The medical teams communicated and listed out the difficulties faced by their respective areas. The Chief Minister instructed the Health principal secretary to look into the matter and resolve it.
“I also asked the Chief Medical Officers and District Medical Superintendents to maintain sufficient stock of medicines and directed them that common people should not face difficulties in obtaining necessary health care facilities and services.”
“I assured all possible help and cooperation from the government and asked everyone to perform their duty diligently with dedication and determination. The government appreciates the efforts being put on by the front line workers and directed everyone to work in tandem with one goal, which is to keep Sikkim COVID-19 free,” said the Chief Minister.sikkimexpress/from
