Alipurduar District Police organizes a blood donation camp in Falakata
Alipurduar, 21st April: Due to the nation-wide lockdown, shortage of blood is being witnessed across the state. In this regard, the Alipurduar District Police organized a blood donation camp on Tuesday at the Falakata Police station. Around 60 police workers donated blood during the camp.
Jaigaon Additional Police Superintendent Kuntal Bandhopadhyay was present during the camp. The police officials stated that more such camps will be organized in the future.
Leopard terror grips Jalpaiguri Dasdarga area

Rajganj, 21st April: After the footprints of a leopard was spotted, early Tuesday morning, near the Dasdarga tea garden premises under Jalpaiguri Sadar block, the locals are under the grip of leopard terror.
Upon receiving the news, the Belakoba Range officials reached the spot and planted a cage to trap the wild animal.
Range officer Sanjay Dutta stated that the locals have been warned not to enter the tea garden and forest premises without any emergencies. He further maintained that the forest officials are patrolling in the surrounding areas.
Sanitization measures initiated in Subhas Pally Bazar amid pandemic

Siliguri, 21st April: Under the initiative of the Borough Committee – III, special sanitization measures commenced in Siliguri’s Subhas Pally Bazar area to combat the spread of the novel coronavirus.
In this context, disinfectants and sanitizers were sprayed in the said area today. Apart from this, awareness was also raised among the people regarding government protocols.
SMC Opposition leader Ranjan Sarkar, who was present during the programme, stated that the market premises should be sanitized frequently as several people crowd the area on a regular basis.
Besides, he maintained that disinfectants were sprayed in Ward No. 17 today and the markets of Ward No. 18 will be sanitized soon. siliguritimes/from, india
