Siliguri man arrested for alleged indecent acts against minors
Siliguri, 06th May: Siliguri Women’s Police Station arrested a person from Baghajatin Colony area on Tuesday evening for allegedly indulging in indecent acts against minors. The arrested person has been identified as Binod Kumar Gupta, a resident of Siliguri’s Baghajatin Colony.
According to the information, the arrested accused had been harassing and passing obscene remarks on the two minors for quite some time. The matter came to light only when the minors informed the issue to their family members.
After this, a written complaint was filed by the family against the accused at Siliguri Women’s Police Station and Binod Kumar Gupta was immediately arrested.
Police administration holds a meeting with several traders of Nagrakata Block
Nagrakata, 06th May: The police administration held a meeting along with several traders of the Nagarakata Block. The meeting mainly focused on the recent directive issued by the State Government to allow the reopening of shops. Restrictions that are to be followed in this regard were also discussed during the meeting.

One arrested with firearms in Siliguri
Siliguri, 06th May: Based on a tip-off, the NJP police launched an operation in the Fulbari Murder More area and arrested a man along with firearms and fresh cartridges.
The arrested accused has been identified as Suman Sarkar, a resident of the Paschim Dhantala area. He was produced before the Jalpaiguri court on Wednesday.siliguritimes/from,india
