81 new cases, 175 recoveries in last 24 hours

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Sept 21: A total of 81 new cases (RT-PCR and antigen tests combined) of COVID-19 have been confirmed across the country in the last 24 hours.

In 1,097 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the past 24 hours, a total of 39 people were found infected with SARS-CoV-2, informed the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) in its regular update on Wednesday.

Likewise, the virus infection was detected in 42 people in 2,350 antigen tests performed in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 175 COVID-19 patients receiving treatment in institutional isolation or staying in home isolation recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours.

No fatalities related to COVID-19 were recorded in the last 24 hours, according to the MoHP. So far, Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll has reached 12,016.
